Starting with the modern elements, which are shown in the beautiful home above, are the clean lines. If you notice in the exterior of the home, the straight lines of the roof and the front porch are what catches your eye when you first look at it.

Moving into the French country style that this house embodies, there are wide assortment of key features. First the wood accents on the shutters and porch tie in with the modernism while adding the French country feel.
The large floor plan is another key feature of the French country style, as homes in the country tended to have bigger families or more people living there than a home in the city, therefore needing more space in the home.
On the interior the biggest factor for the French Country style is the natural elements in every room, the stone fireplace, metal light fixtures and wood shelving and furniture pieces. These elements give the rustic feel that the French Country style is known for.

Incorporating the metal and wood light fixture is an inviting way to decorate the foyer, as it is the first thing someone sees when entering the home.
In the image above there are a bunch of modern and French county elements to look at. This image is of the Great Room, which is directly off the foyer in the center of the home.
This room is a meant to be the main gathering place. The focal point of the room is the brick fireplace, which is a great use of natural elements while still fitting the aesthetic. Surrounded by built-in cabinets the fireplace topped with rustic wood mantle creates an inviting ambiance for this space.
Additionally, the large use of white is a great tribute to the modern part of the home, as well as the prominent lines in the Entertainment Center. That element is very eye catching, while still giving attention to the below fireplace.
With a slight shift in layout and furniture you can take the living room a little less modern by closing off the living room just a little bit more.
To keep the style more present, switching to more delicate furniture pieces clean the space up a bit more.
For the French country portion of the style the wall is a warmer color then the bolder white seen in other spaces as well as the fireplace extending all the way to the ceiling with natural materials.
Looking from inside the Great Room into the Kitchen you can see the connected areas with a Rectangular white island separating the two spaces, while keeping an open communication path for people in either of the spaces.
The linear white cabinets are bright, beautiful, and modern, as they keep all the clutter and items needed for function tucked away. The glass at the top of the cabinets is a tribute the French Country roots to add interest and tie in with the surrounding doors and windows.
Entering the kitchen itself the above picture shows the use of metal and wood in the décor, furniture and light fixtures. Recessed lights, and caged chandeliers help keep this space bright and inviting.
White cabinetry, stainless steel appliances, subway tile backsplash and white quartz countertops all combine to create a luxurious feel.
The two styles of modern and French country mesh together perfectly with the natural and modern finishes in this kitchen.
A little farther past the kitchen brings you to the dining room, as shown above. The dining room connects to the kitchen and the Great Room, all one open area, but still having distinct spaces and themes, which is another trait of the modern style.
The dining room continues with the whites, light gray color palette and linear patterns, as well as incorporating the wood and metal in décor items
Moving onto the master bedroom the paint aims to be a little warmer to coordinate with the bedding and the artwork around. The natural elements shine through with the wood planked accent of the tray ceiling as well as the metal curtain rods.
A perfect mesh of the two styles here is the nightstand, with an aged, distressed white wood table, with cabinet doors to carefully tuck away any items. An upholstered bed with bench adds a touch of glam to the space.
Right off the master bedroom is the master bathroom, which is a modern dreamland. Clean lines everywhere with the marble white backsplash and pure white drop-in tub.
A nod to the French country style is shown in the iron towel bars and faucet, as well as the decorative paneling on the side of the tub. These small details really make the basic bathroom stand out.
Beside the tub in the master bathroom is the walk in shower, adding an additional natural element with the stone flooring, that gracefully pulls color from the marble shower walls. A corner shower seat is a thoughtful touch.

The final side of the master bathroom is a clean cut vanity with two mirrors in contrasting materials, metal and wood. The wood mirror is the first we see of the wood accent material since the flooring is tiled compared to the wood throughout the home.

As mentioned at the beginning, there are a bunch of bedrooms in this home. If there are not that many people needing bedrooms, there are always other uses for the space.
One example is shown above. Instead of a bedroom it can become somewhat of a home office, private living or sitting room, in case the open Great Room is not what you are looking for at a given moment.
There are a ton of other uses for an extra room too, whether it be an office, play room, home gym, art room, etc.
